PERHAPS A MORE APPROPRIATE QUESTION IS,
“WILL WE CHANGE IT?”

Take a careful look at this map, not just a cursory, “I haven’t got the time,” Internet glance; there’s an important story here. This story is vital to your future and understanding as a believer; as well as that of multiplied millions of human lives and souls. Let me sum it up for you,

CHRISTIANS MAKE UP ONLY 1 TO 5 PERCENT OF THE POPULATION
IN MOST MIDDLE EASTERN NATIONS TODAY.

What’s wrong with this picture? This is land of our Faith’s nativity … so what happened? Did the Faith just die out? Did everyone just move away or backslide and abandon what they once so powerfully embraced? Or has there been something far more sinister at work here? Something working its way down through history to this present hour.

“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked, this way comes.” Wm. Shakespeare – Macbeth

To the scripturely challenged this idea may sound like another conspiracy theory coming down the pipeline to amuse us. For those of us with a Biblical worldview there are dark forces at work in the world today vying for power; with even darker forces energizing them from behind.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 NASB

Today’s daily news reports are almost like reading a commentary on Biblical Prophecy. Despite this, in our community of believers there seems to be a spirit of Non-reality concerning the issues of our times; a kind of, “Nut’n I can do about it” mentality of detachment that comes from watching too much Reality TV. Jesus doesn’t let us off that easily. HE asks an odd but intriguing question concerning the day of HIS return (Oh, yes, HE is Coming Again),

“When The Son of Man comes will HE find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8

Faith: It’s an interesting word with such a broad variety of uses these days; let’s take a look at what Jesus meant by it from our Greek New Testament.

FAITH (πίστις * pistis * pis’-tis) Persuasion, that is, credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly constancy in such profession; by extension the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself: – assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.

We cannot say we have “Faith” while at the same time ignoring the Harvest HE’s coming back for. While all the World is the Harvest, it’s imperative that we understand that it’s the Middle East that’s the turf under dispute prophetically. This is where THE LORD shall return. HE’s not coming to New York or Los Angeles is HE? Not only will HIS return be to Jerusalem but HE will establish HIS rule and judge the nations from the Middle East. Even so, come quickly LORD JESUS!

In light of this, I want to challenge you to get a vision for changing the statistics on this map. You don’t have to go personally but you can partner with my team and I as we endeavor to build a Christ-worshipping body of believers in one of the most spiritually significant places on earth. We’ve got to have a paradigm shift in our understanding of eschatology and our response to the times. Despite all that’s going on in Iraq, we’re seeing an openness to hear the Word of GOD like never before.

This opportunity is a GOD moment in history, it may never come again. Jesus said,

“We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work.” John 9:4 NASB

“We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us.* The night is coming, and then no one can work.” John 9:4 NLT
