The Bedrock Of Belief

FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY

You’re far more meaningful and powerful than you may think you are.

There’s a strongman spirit of accusation and self-doubt assaulting believers just like you everywhere. There’s a reason for this. The accuser of the brethren, who accuses them day and night is cast down to earth and knows his time is short. Thief, liar and murderer that he is, his objective is to rob, kill, deceive and destroy all that he can. Like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, his roar is to instill fear and get you to abandon and bolt from your place of shelter and strength in Christ.

At the end of the day, after all has been shaken that can be shaken, there will be three unshakable things of the spirit which will remain and permanently abide intact and in place.

YOUR FAITH defines who you are and in Whom and what you believe. Your faith vindicates the faith of Christ, who gave his life for you. I’m not saying Christ’s faith or righteousness is dependent in any way on us. I’m saying, HIS faith foresaw your own and HE believed you could and would be saved. In this sense HIS faith is vindicated in our redemption.

YOUR HOPE defines your world-view; it sees a new world coming and the ultimate triumph of good over evil. It shines as a beacon light in a dark time of fear and despair.

YOUR CHARITY expresses your faith and hope by putting it into demonstrable action. Our Lord put it this way, “You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine that men may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in Heaven.

Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love. 1Cor. 13:13 NLT
