Praise Chapel, Duhok, Kurdistan, N. Iraq

KURDISTAN HAS BECOME A REFUGE FOR MILLIONS: This is our reality here. The landscape near our church is dotted with huge tent cities filled with refugees and IDPs fleeing the fighting in Syria and Iraq. There are also many remote villages where whole groups of refugees have taken shelter. Our Praise Chapel women from Duhok have organized outreaches to touch these communities by reaching out to the woman and children with gifts, entertainment and sharing the Good News in hard times. The photos speak for themselves. The Mukhtar of this particular village told Pastor Layth, “You’ve brought joy and happiness to our people, it’s been a long time since we’ve experienced anything like this.”
