We’ve successfully concluded our outreach to Egypt. It’s been an incredibly fruitful time with hundreds responding to our invitation to receive Christ. We placed special emphasis on the need to be Born Again VS religious affiliation.
Our message was, This is GOD’S time for Egypt and for Egyptian Women in particular to rise up, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to bring healing and transformation to the land.
An interesting coincidence is that our meetings have exactly coincided with Harvest time here in Egypt. As we traveled from village to village we saw sheaves of wheat bundled and tied in the fields just as they’ve been harvested for thousands of years.
So much here smacks of the prophetic;
Christians here truly believe this is the time for the fulfillment of Isaiah 19, the prophesied healing and restoration of Egypt as foretold by the prophet. We see a fulfillment of Joel’s prophecy as well, an outpouring of HIS SPIRIT on all flesh, Sons and DAUGHTERS, Menservants and MAIDSERVANTS. We recall very clearly that it was the desperate and marginalized Women of Egypt that rose up a few years back and set off the upheaval of Arab Spring that shook the whole world, brought down dictatorships and changed the face of the Middle East. How much more impact for good will come from Spirit-led and empowered Christian Women moving in the nation?
There were good number of physical healings that took place in every service as The Lord confirmed the preaching of HIS Word with signs following.
We’ve had a Great Victory here with outstanding ministry from Pam Howard who carried the lions share of the load despite having a Stroke only six weeks ago. Pastor Jaron Halsted added an invaluable and powerful dynamic to our team and our ministry expression. The people over here simply love him. His strength was vital to this mission and to me personally. Both Pam and I felt his strength upholding us.
We were able to give each woman attending the meetings a practical gift, an aluminum cooking pan. Had you seen the joy on these woman’s faces as they received your gift to them, your hearts would have been melted within you. These woman are among the poorest of the poor and to receive such a gift made the meetings all the more special and meaningful for they and their families.
Then there are all of you who made this victory possible. Without you this mission would never have been realized, you sacrificed, prayed and believed with us. Now YOU have a victory in Egypt that will be felt for years to come.
On behalf of our team, Pastors Jaron Halsted, Pam Howard and myself,
THANK YOU! AND MANY BLESSINGS TO YOU AND YOURS.
