POVERTY’S REALITY IN EGYPT
- Egyptians living in extreme poverty has risen to 32.5 percent.
- Those earning less $1.3 a day are considered to be living under the poverty line.
- The highest percentage of Egyptians living in poverty are living in Upper Egypt
The Children of these Villages are mixed; Christians and Muslims; a large number of these kids are orphaned. Having lost both parents most now live with their surviving relatives, an added burden on families already strained by extreme poverty. Some have fathers who can no longer work because of sickness or disabilities.
To attend school, families need to provide for each child’s school materials.
Included in this outreach are the children of Pastors laboring in the area; these pastors are very poor but are working hard for the Lord and His Kingdom. Our help for they and their children is a great blessing.
