This Is Praise Chapel, Al Qusiyah

Here’s just a brief and joyous sampling of what The Lord is doing during a the typical week at Praise Chapel in Al Qusiyah, Upper Egypt.

Our Church here is making a significant impact within the surrounding community. Despite the Covid-19 Pandemic, GOD continues to move powerfully in this grass-roots Egyptian revival.

  • Women’s Discipleship services: Pastor Rezk holds two services back to back to accommodate over 200 women who attend each week.
  • Youth Sports Outreach: Our youth go out to enjoy a day of sports and fun as well as taking the opportunity to witness and share their faith.
  • Kids Worship Service: Praise Chapel, Al Qusiyah is blessed with a Church full of Kids who obviously enjoy Worshipping The Lord.

This is all made possible by those of you who faithfully sow into our Missions efforts in the Middle East. Our team of dedicated Christian workers are held up and supported month to month by the faithful giving of those who believe in the great commission, the sharing of the Gospel throughout all Nations.

COMFORT YE, COMFORT YE MY PEOPLE

A Word Of Assurance In Troubled Time – By Jack Harris – January 17, 2021

The Last couple of weeks have been a tough time for me personally. Within a two day period, four more people who were a part of our lives experience passed away; three of them died from the Coronavirus. This was followed by the shocking display on the News that our Capitol had been stormed. The assault and the equally offensive reaction that followed it tell me very clearly that this isn’t about the violation of Law and Order, it’s about a vindictive power struggle between two political factions and their own self-interest, with little regard for the nation or the  rest of us. I mean, Come on people, look around you! Our Country is reeling under the weight of an ongoing worldwide pandemic, political and economic uncertainty and a Nation so divided that it threatens to implode in its own chaos.

Overly dramatic you say; maybe, maybe not, but it certainly describes the undercurrent of the fears of much of our citizenry. So my question is, Where is the maturity of leadership that should understand these things? I’m not talking about knee-jerk authoritarianism, there’s plenty of that out there, I’m talking about a voice of optimism and assurance that can pull a fractured people into agreement instead of fueling their fears and dividing them further. You’re going to be hard pressed to find that anywhere right now.

As for the Media and their perpetual fueling of the fires of adversity, a verse from an old King Crimson song from my youth says it all . . .

Cat’s foot iron claw, Neuro-surgeons scream for more, At paranoia’s poison door. Twenty first Century Schizoid Man.

-King Crimson

What’s that supposed to mean? The same thing it meant back in the 1960’s, when the nation was tearing itself apart. It’s not so much the logic of the verse as it is the spiritual impression it conveys.

My point? I’m simply summing up my personal assessment of the Spirit of the Age as I see it. If you find yourself in disagreement, move on to something else, if not, read on.

There seems to be very little out there in the way of comfort for the average individual or family. My impression is that while our “Benefactors” bellow on about our best interests, there’s very little in the way of actual encouragement and comfort. Much of this is true, even of the Church, which seems more interested in partisan politics and applying the Word of God to them, than actually ministering to a flock that’s been sheared and skinned down to the nub and standing shivering and huddled together in the cold. That’s not to say there aren’t a lot of great ministries and churches out there doing the job; but they’re not getting the press are they?

Having set you up with my rant, which I’m reasonably assured many would identify with, let me get to the why of it.

TESTIMONY: AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE COMFORTER

I’d like to share a remarkable experience I recently had; perhaps you’ve also had a similar encounter of late. If not, don’t be discouraged, the promise is as much for you as any of the rest of us. I’m talking about an encounter with The GOD of all Comfort.

The One our New Testament Greek calls, the Parakletos: the Advocate, the Counsel for the Defense, the One who brings help, nurture, assurance or as translated in our English Bible, Comfort.

Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’S hand double for all her sins. – Isaiah 40:1-2

Before I go on, I want to be very clear: my word of comfort is in no way contradictory to the word of warning, of the threat of judgement to come and the call for men to repent, to change their hearts and ways. These two, warning and comfort, are a part of a greater whole that’s being worked out in all of our lives; so don’t misunderstand my desire to share a very real word of comfort in the midst of the chaos of the times as an attempt to ignore its ills. This is a word for those who have made GOD their refuge. It’s also an appeal for those unfamiliar with Him and HIS reality to open your hearts and discover, as we, who’ve come to believe have, the source of life, of resource when all other resources have failed.

I was recently visited by The Comforter Himself. This was not something I sought or was praying about, which convinces me all the more of the reality of the experience. Understand, I am not capable of producing what I experienced of myself. I had no control over the encounter at all. It was simply the All Knowing Presence of The Holy Spirit. Suddenly I was surrounded within and without by a vast endless ocean of perfect peace. Though no word was spoken, this Presence communicated very clearly an impression that I understood as a spoken word. I can only describe it as the Nature and Intent of His Presence. Without doubt, I was in the presence of The Comforter. The unspoken word, resident in the very nature of the Presence was, All will be well, everything will be alright. And I knew in my heart, without a doubt that it will be.

I realize that this may sound overly optimistic or even naive in light of today’s realities, like wishful thinking on my part. That’s the problem isn’t it? Trying to communicate something that comes from the LORD in words. It’s easy to miss the bigger picture involved in what was revealed. The word, or impression if you will, I received didn’t necessarily imply a cessation of trouble, it implied it’s resolve. It can be summed up in a very familiar passage of scripture.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. -Proverbs 3:5

In other words, there’s a process involved; a working out of the circumstances within the challenges, i.e., a very real spiritual struggle behind the manifest reality, but the outcome is assured.

Am I speaking a prophetic word? Yes and no. If by a prophetic word you mean an encounter with the Spirit of GOD where HE said, Thus saith The LORD, Go and tell my people … No, it wasn’t like that at all; yet I understood this to be something for all of us, not me alone.

You’ll recall that I mentioned, there was no spoken word as such, but there was a crystal clear communication of intent. Imagine; you step into a bath, you immediately understand beyond doubt as to the temperature of the water, you need no thermometer. Your own senses tell you whether the water is hot, cold, cool or warm. If bath soap or fragrance was added, you immediately know this because you can smell its presence. Your eyes would also see important cues, steam rising from the water, the presence of bubbles or color from dye etc. All this information you’d receive in an instant, not because you were told it; you’d understand because you were immersed in it.

When the Comforter came, HE came suddenly, HIS presence started within and then surrounded me until the experience was like total immersion; like being cast into the center of a sea of peace and assurance which of Itself, was cognitive intelligence. One simply understood what the comfort was about. It was like being immersed in a thought, and eternal thought; may I be so bold as to say, immersed in the mind of GOD. I simply understood the why of the comfort given.

What I’m sharing with you is in the nature of a personal testimony. Like most of you, I’m familiar with the experience of being in the Presence of God, of the movings of HIS Holy Spirit; but this is something fresh, for now! For what’s currently going on in our world: It speaks of the LORD’s response to it on the behalf of HIS people.

Like any testimony or prophetic utterance, you must judge as to it’s validity for yourself; it will bear witness with your spirit or it won’t. However, I suspect that when GOD moves like this, HE doesn’t do so for my benefit alone; He’s speaking to His people

When GOD speaks prophetically through Isaiah, He’s comforting His people, those who believe Him in the midst of a judgement to bring correction to their nation that’s in progress. This doesn’t change the fact that He’s dealing with the nations sins, He simply is assuring them that this process is working toward the saving of the nation and its restoration by His dealing with the sins of its Capitol.

Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD’S hand double for all her sins.

The custom of the day in a judicial action was once the offense had been settled, the societal debt paid, the written charges were closed, that is, they were “Doubled” or folded over, indicating a pardon received.

Somehow, here at the end of the Age, living in what many of us understand as the last of the Last days, there is still hope, not only for us as individual believers, but for our nation and the nations of the whole earth.

What was done on the Cross in terms of Redemption is far more powerful and wide reaching than we possibly understand. Bad as things are; GOD has not taken His Spirit from the earth. How do I know this? The answer is simple: You’re still here.

Don’t Get Sucked Into Chaos

By Jack Harris

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. – Isaiah 26:20-21

THE SPIRIT OF LAWLESSNESS IS A SIGN OF THE TIMES

You say you want a revolution, Well, you know, we all want to be free … But when you talk about destruction, Don’t you know that you can count me out … and if you carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, You ain’t gonna make it with anyone, anyhow! – Revolution, The Beatles.

Don’t allow yourself to be deceived and drawn into the Spirit of Lawlessness, it’s a sign of the times.

The Country is upset, it has every right to be, and this includes folks on both sides of the political fence. I understand this, most I think do. But its very easy to get drawn into the wrong thing at the wrong time with the wrong crowd.

Were the Lord here now as he was in Judea in 33 AD, would he be storming our capitol and siding with the Zealots of the time, who will ultimately be as responsible for destroying their nation and bringing about it’s total destruction and the scattering of is people into the nations of the world? NO! Not only can I say, HE wouldn’t, I can tell you authoritatively, He didn’t.

We often forget; when GOD sent his son into the world, it was a Roman World, and those who teach history about the glories of Rome while praising its advancement and peace (Pax Romana or Roman Peace) They often overlook the fact that it was on of the most vicious empires in all of world history. The Roman Empire was the model upon which the Third Reich of Nazi Germany was built

Hitler’s Germany quickly became a totalitarian state where nearly all aspects of life were controlled by the government. The Third Reich, meaning “Third Realm” or “Third Empire”, alluded to the Nazis’ conceit that Nazi Germany was the successor to the Holy Roman Empire with Germany as its center. The Third Reich, which Hitler and the Nazis referred to as the Thousand Year Reich, ended in May 1945 after just 12 years, when the Allies defeated Germany, ending World War II in Europe. World War II was the deadliest military conflict in history. An estimated total of 70–85 million people perished, or about 3% of the 1940 world population.

We’ve all become very adept at identifying the Signs of the Times and pointing out the warning details of Bible Prophecy, so much so, that we seem to overlook the fact that one of the major marks of these times is the spirit of Lawlessness!

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:10-12

The Mark of THE BEAST isn’t just a NUMBER, it’s a SPIRIT, the Spirit of Lawlessness. The AntiChrist is referred to as, THE LAWLESS ONE.

When I see the thousands gather to protest and express their anger and anxiety over wrongs they feel have been perpetrated against them, I see democracy at work and freedoms being expressed; freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution. But when I see the Seat of Our Government being stormed by a mindless mob creating mayhem, acting like thugs and doing precisely the same things as those who on the other side of the dispute were doing not far from where I live, that is, looting, destroying the property of others and seizing areas that do not legitimately belong to them. I have to say, “This ain’t good!” This isn’t what I believe, and it’s certainly not something anyone can claim, “God told me to do it!” If they make that claim, my first response is going to be, Which god are you talking about? You’re certainly not talking about the GOD of the Bible, Not Jesus Christ.

To minimize the danger of the times we’re living in would be ludicrous; be assured, our enemies, the nation states who hate us and all our nation stands for, are glued to their TV’s and dancing with glee. Not only that, it’s a pretty good bet that they’re marshaling all the resources available to them right now; to add to the mayhem, taking advantage of it to undermine and weaken our structure from within, with an eye toward its collapse.

On top of all this, we find ourselves dealing with the largest quarantine in human history; the doors of our churches have been closed for the fear of its spread. Business and economy have been severely curtailed, the experts attempting to handle the crisis claim they’re overwhelmed and our politicians are running about giving more the appearance of being the KEYSTONE COPS rather than responsible elected officials. They seem far more interested in fighting for their place in the pecking order and entrenching themselves in their positions of power and advantage, rather than representing the well-being of the Nation and it People.

The sad thing today is that when you talk to the average man or woman on the street and ask, Do you trust our Government, sadly a great majority will simply laugh sarcastically or outrightly just say, NO! That’s sad, because there are hardworking conscientious men and women at every level who do care, but this isn’t the picture we see. Our media is obsessed with partisan politics and their own bias. Our leadership, in both parties convinces us that their positions (not the ones we elected them to represent) have become more important than the well-being of our people and the stability of our Country. No wonder so many have simply thrown up their hands in disgust with both parties.

Fortunately, there’s still hope, and that hope lays in GOD. Emblazoned on our money, which is seen and spent worldwide, is the motto, “In GOD We Trust.” Perhaps we should take a moment to consider that statement. Is it true? Can GOD be trusted? Is HE there at all? Is HE remotely interested in us and what’s going on in our nation and around the world?

I believe HE is, that he’s at work this very moment; but if you’re expecting him to just leap out of HIS Heaven and come wearing your favorite colors or waving an American Flag or come wearing a Republican or Democrat convention badge, I’m afraid you’re going to be sorely disappointed.

The Temple Officials wanted Jesus to conform to the system they’d ritualized and corrupted, He went around it. The Scribes and the Pharisees constantly challenged Him because He revealed them for what they were, self-righteous purveyors and dispensers of religion who had come to look down on the very people they were to care for. Woe unto you, Scribes, Pharisees, Hypocrites! Jesus said, You shut up Heaven to men and you’re not going in yourselves.

He simply wasn’t the kind of Messiah they’d been hoping for; Yes, he did things no one else had ever done, you know, opened the eyes of the blind, the ears of the deaf, cleansed lepers and restored their lives. He forgave sinners and set them right and gave them a new beginning, delivered people from insane tormenting spirits, even raised the dead; apparently that wasn’t enough. His followers attempted to force Him to be King, but he refused. What kind of Messiah is this?

He wouldn’t speak out against the Roman Occupation, the Zealots hated him for that; Where’s your loyalty Jesus? Who’s side are YOU on? What do you mean, Your Kingdom is not of this World? We just don’t get you Jesus, Why can’t you just be who we want you to be?

Maybe we should all take a step back for a moment and look at things from a different perspective. Yes, many of our churches have been closed; not by mandate or hostility, but out of the fear of spreading a virulent virus that has proven deadly.

We’ve been asked to stay at home; may I make a suggestion? Have you ever thought that this may actually be a good thing? A God-given opportunity in crisis?

Rather than wading out into the mess and dissent, take advantage of the tremendous power and opportunity that are yours, right now. You may feel powerless concerning all the BIG ISSUES the media keeps tossing at you, but how about doing something you can do, right now, right where you are!

Build a strong Christian Home, there’s never been a better opportunity. The stable God-fearing family is the bedrock of our Nation and its hope. You now have an opportunity to take your family back.

Experience the presence of GOD in your own home, gather close with your family in faith’s expression and worship. Your children are actually at home, back under your influence!

How about this; turn that TV off for a while, get off the phone and tablet, just for a bit, and focus on the Faith as a family.

Use the internet constructively; stay in touch with fellow believers, your church and other family members; encourage one another, take advantage of online and other resources your church is providing as well as other trusted Christian resources. There’s more Christian Ministry and Faith Community buzz going on right now than ever in history.

You may have to be selective, not everything out there is palatable; to use an old adage, “Eat the meat and spit out the bones.” Listen to those you trust, not every far flung prophecy somebody throws out there; use discernment! That’s why the LORD gave you His Holy Spirit.

What if in this time, the time of one our Nation’s greatest crisis, when we’re feeling helpless and vulnerable, what if we used this time wisely and to our advantage, to strengthen our homes and our families as the center place of our faith? Doe’s anybody see opportunity here?

Our Nations strength is in her families, does anybody get that. GOD is giving you an opportunity to take your families back! We have an opportunity to build a true social network and expand our relationships. We can come out of this thing much stronger as a people once the air clears. Why? Because The LORD has said, I’ll be with you when the Flood comes, it won’t carry you away. I’ll be with you when the Fire comes, it won’t consume you.

Now let’s read that introductory verse once more and in light of it, see if it now makes more sense to you.

A Lying Spirit Of Deception On The Loose

Jack Harris – December 7, 2020

And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. – 2 Thes 2:12

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, – Eph 2:1-2

There’s a toxic spiritual atmosphere of lies and deception covering the whole earth today; It’s a spirit, a spirit of delusion, of untruth or truth distorted beyond recognition. It’s a demonically inspired Windstorm, leaving in its wake Chaos, Division and Destruction with an eye toward destabilization. Its deliberate purpose is to create a prevailing atmosphere of confusion, distrust, fear and disharmony at every level, here at home, and abroad.

In the Bible, satan is portrayed as the Arcon (ruling prince and authority) of the air or atmosphere. It’s the ambience of the age, the constantly prevailing thoughts or outlook of the current world system of this age, which is drawing toward its climax. It’s literally, the prevailing atmosphere of the times. Just like the pollution and smogs of the Industrial Age, its been with us so long we scarcely notice it, though it’s slowing killing us and the planet we call home.

So powerfully deceptive and authoritative is its influence over the hearts and lives of people, that they will listen to its voice and conform to its suggestion almost without question. It’s on the NEWS, it must be true, right? Even in the lives of believers, its voice is more compelling than the Word of God we claim to believe. This deception comes with consequences; to use the scriptures, We’ve sown the Wind and we’re about to reap the Whirlwind (you need to really think about that one).

Like most things the devil does; there’s cunning tainted with insanity. Make no mistake about it, the nature of evil is always Sociopathic and Psychopathic. My question is, have you really listened to the voices of those you’re empowering by your support of their agendas? There are things being said by Public Officials that the rest of us would be arrested and prosecuted for as hate speech.

This evil, and it’s lies, that I’m talking about, manifests on both sides of the fence, it’s non-Partisan in nature.

Accusation and finger-pointing are swirling back-and-forth creating a literal spinning vortex of untruth and confusion; like a Super-Tornado sweeping erratically to and fro across the political and social landscape, it’s destroying everything in its path. It is the Spirit of the Age

Truth will out, it always does; but, as is often the case, not before irreparable damage is done and the facts finally emerge.

My words may have little or no bearing for those of a secular mind, but for those of you who are believers, who believe that the Almighty rules from above over all below, this is a time to pause, to regroup our thoughts and lay them out before the Lord and ask him to help us to see as he sees.

Psalms 50: 21 – “These things you have done and I kept silence; You thought that I was just like you; I will reprove you and state the case in order before your eyes.

We tend to think that God‘s political persuasion is the same as our own and we cast him into that role.

Joshua of old made a similar mistake in his assumptions as he and his people were about to attack ancient Jericho. He was indeed following the directions of the Lord and going against this fortress city between his people and the promised land.

What a mistake it is; the assumption that God’s point of view and agenda are identical to our own. So many throughout history have made the same assumption only to be bitterly disappointed to discover this was not the case.

During our American Civil War both sides prayed to the same God for victory in battle. Be assured that God loved both sides, the soldiers of the North and of the South. What they and we often fail to see is that this isn’t just about our cause or views, this is about the direction and course that will unfold through history and how it serves God‘s ultimate purpose. Frankly, this is often outside our capacity for understanding. We tend to see through the lens of our own viewpoints and desires.

His Catholic majesty, the King of Spain was astonished at the sinking of his mighty armada sent against England during the time of Elizabeth. His despairing cry was, Why Lord? I don’t understand! I am the righteous one, the one that’s on God’s side not the English.

Joshua is standing on the plain before Jericho, probably to reconnoiter the city for the coming battle. As he’s pondering the city, suddenly he sees another person out there in the field with him, sword drawn. He doesn’t recognize this strange warrior and I’m certain he felt intimidated. He says, Are you with us, or our enemies?

It’s the classic question we all ask when we’re in times of conflict with opposing forces, Who’s side are you on?

This Strange Warrior answers him and says, No, but as the Captain of the Lord’s Host I am come.

One translation says, neither instead of no; but to my understanding, this encounter and its meaning has always been, This isn’t just about you and your people, this is about God’s Will and unfolding purposes that flow out into what we call history.

To be clear, Yes, this is about Joshua, about Israel and God‘s purpose in and through the nation that he’s formed of these people. But there’s more here; call it an attitude adjustment or a shift in perspective. Joshua sees this and responds appropriately; he says, What does my Lord command?

Joshua gets it, and then responds; the Captain of the Lord’s Host then answers him and says,Take your shoes off, for the place you are standing on is holy ground. In other words, This isn’t just about you this is about God. Joshua rightly positions himself and adapts to this posture.

I know this may come as a major shock to many of you, but God is not a Republican; nor is he a Democrat. He is the Lord; we do well to remember that. He’s the one who sees the end from the beginning. Though we’re often loath to admit it, He has people in both camps; and as with most human issues, they often serve a variety of compartmentalized agendas. That is to say, We have the ability to espouse and reveal one facet of our beliefs, persuasions and desires, while putting the more unsavory issues attached to them away, out of mind and out of sight, in our private desk drawers.

These are poisonous and unpalatable times, no mistaking that. So what’s the answer? How do we respond? With more questions? With more accusations? With more blame shifting?

In my opinion, my considered opinion, this is a time for soul-searching, heartfelt prayer; a looking to the Lord for both answers and for help. I’m not talking about a limp-wristed pacifism; but for self-control and waiting on God, before drawing premature conclusions.

The mocker will say, I don’t believe in an interventionist God. Well I do! And I feel he will intervene with the truth; He is always about truth; maybe not the truth we want to hear but truth none the less.

What is truth? the cynic asks. Do you really want an answer? Well then, it’s a no brainer; Jesus said, I am the truth.

The children of Israel have come to a place in the wilderness called Marah, They’ve traveled through the desert wilderness, they’re out of water and they’re desperate. When they arrive at Marah, they find water but it’s bitter, unpalatable, they can’t drink it.

They’re disappointed, they’re angry, at Moses and at God, for bringing them here, this place of disappointment, of poisonous waters; but there’s an important lesson for them here, and for all of us, life is seldom ideal, sometimes the places we find ourselves in can look very unpromising. God is not taken by surprise, not in the least, he sees potential where there is none to our understanding. He’s not mad at his people for their disappointment; it’s their failure to place their trust in him. Is God bigger and the poisonous waters and circumstances that seem to be our only resource? We’re about to see.

The Lord shows Moses a certain tree and he commands him; Cast that tree into the waters and they’ll be made sweet. Moses obeys and the result is just as God said; the people are refreshed in a place of impossibility. Isn’t this, in reality, what this is all about?

We, who read our Bibles, understand that this tree wasn’t some kind of magic bullet solution. It was an Old Testament type, looking forward to the coming redemption purchased by Christ on the Cross.

Fairy Tales, some will say. Hebrew mythology, nothing more. Really?

1 Cor 1:18 – For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

The cynical and the skeptic are going to do what they do and believe what they choose to believe. But for us who believe in the word of God and in Jesus Christ, this is the time to cast the tree of God’s provision into the bitter waters.

My mother, in a time when I was facing one of my greatest crisis to that point, once told me; Jack, you can’t defend yourself against liars.

So it is with the spirit that has laid hold of this portion of history. Lies, deliberate fabrications or distortions of truth. Accusations and counter accusations, blame, anger, wrath … as Abe Lincoln once said, you can wrestle with a skunk, and you may win, but you won’t come up smelling good.

Right, will come out right, if we place our trust in the One who is truly righteous. They that wait upon God shall never be ashamed.

253 EGYPTIAN PASTORS RECEIVE MUCH NEEDED AID

https://vimeo.com/448726338

A Victory Report concerning our Christian Family Relief Project in Egypt. This update shares the results of our two part objective in Upper Egypt. The first part, also successfully accomplished was to provide aid for the families in our church in Al Qusiyah. The second and larger task was to assist the Pastors, Evangelists and other local ministries we’re privileged to work with. These are the Churches that opened their doors to us when we first started the work in Egypt. These are established Churches in the region who are seriously working to evangelize the nation.

The Covid-19 quarantine shut down has seriously impacted these works and workers. Our goal is to provide necessary aid until recovery comes. This was one of the largest and most ambitious projects we’ve undertaken and to be frank, I wasn’t sure that we’d get much of a response because of our own domestic difficulties during this crisis. However, I felt an urgency concerning the needs of our people and friends in Egypt and knew that this crisis was presenting a major obstacle blocking the advancement of the unprecedented move of GOD taking place right now. All I could do was pray and present the need and leave the rest to the LORD.

YOUR RESPONSE WAS BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!

As you’ll note in this video update, we actually met all of our goals. This report is just one of three and your response has made a significant impact for the Ministry of Christ in the Middle East.

I want you to know that I realize most of you who helped us gave out of your necessity not your abundance; which makes your liberality all the more meaningful. I thank you, as do our people in Egypt and Iraq. They’re comforted, knowing that we are standing with them in these difficult times.

With My Utmost Sincerity,

FIRE-BOMBED: CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IN IRAQ IS A REALITY!

FIRE-BOMBED.png

One of our families living in Baghdad was fire-bombed by a Shiite Militia group in the area. The device used to destroy their home wasn’t homemade, it was a military grade incendiary device typical of that used by terrorists.

The family escaped with their lives but lost everything to the fire. His mother, already suffering from a medical condition, was weakened considerably by the exposure to the smoke and fumes. She’s too weak to travel as the family is now forced to flee to Kurdistan in the North for protection.

The reason behind the targeting of this young man and his family is their conversion from Islam to Christianity. A couple of months ago this young man was saved in Duhok. He had a genuine “Born Again” experience with Christ and returned to his home and began sharing his experience with others of his community. The result was that a number of other families also came to believe. For this, his right to believe, to exercise Freedom of Religion, now a part of the Iraq Constitution, he and his family were targeted by radicals for death.

THERE’S A COST FOR COMING TO CHRIST IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD.

Kurdistan, in the north, has become a refuge for families such as these who’ve become the targets of Islamic Extremists who use their religion as a political weapon to instill fear and control those under their influence and reach.

It’s a typical Hotel California situation; “You can check out anytime, but you can never leave.”

As the family flees the South, they come to the Kurdistan Region with nothing. We had two other families (former Muslim’s) who also had to flee their home with nothing but the clothes on their backs. They had to survive on the streets until we could get to them with help. Obviously, we’re not posting pictures for their protection but the photo below show their “Street Stove” for preparing their meals.

Pastor Layth, was able, despite the Covid-19 travel restrictions, to get to the city to where these families fled (undisclosed for now) and set them up with an apartment and basic necessities to make a new beginning as believers in the North. Thank GOD for the Kurdistan Autonomous Region.

We were able to respond to this need and that of our newest family, thanks to the generous support of all of you who have helped our Christian Family Relief project.

WE ANTICIPATE 30 MORE SUCH FAMILIES FLEEING TO THE NORTH FOR THEIR LIVES OVER THE NEXT THREE MONTHS

Our Fire-Bombed family is in transit to the North now. Pastor Layth and our Kurdistan team are making the necessary preparations for their arrival.

CONCLUSION: We saw this coming years ago and realized that Kurdistan would become a Safe Haven for Believers, now it’s happening pretty much as we anticipated it. This is why our presence and base in the Kurdish North is so vital for a Christian presence in a land that has sought its extinction.

Currently there are some events in motion that for securities sake we cannot publicly disclose at the moment. For now, let’s just say that something is happening in high places within the region and appears to be nothing short of miraculous. We’ll share more as it unfolds but for now it’s necessary that we not reveal the details.

DESPITE THE OPPOSITION & THE WORLDWIDE QUARANTINE WE CONTINUE TO GROW AND EXPAND

Make no mistake about it, there’s a battle as never before for the soul of humanity. What we do or fail to do now will determine the future of our world.

If you’ve not already done so, join in with us and help fight the good fight of faith. For those of you who have, THANK YOU for helping us hold the line.

Christian Family Relief Project: Video Update Pastor Rezek, Praise Chapel, Al Qusiyah, Upper Egypt

A Thank You Note From Upper Egypt Pastor Rezek, Praise Chapel, Al Qusiyah

I wanted to share this note with all of you who so generously stepped up to the plate to help relieve the hardship imposed on our people in Upper Egypt and Iraq by the ongoing Covid-19 quarantine. As I read Pastor Rezk’s (pronounced Rezek) heart-felt note to me, I thought, This isn’t for me, this is for all of those who sacrificed out their own necessity to help their Brothers and Sisters in the Middle East. Pastor Rezek has delivered, food, essential household necessities and other help to 150 FAMILIES in Al Qusiyah. This is the second delivery of this much needed relief and we’ll be able to provide for our people for several more weeks thanks to your generosity.

As you may know, these are working people with families just like your own, but this current world-wide quarantine has brought work and resources to an abrupt halt. This crisis will pass and there will be a recovery but until then, all of you who sacrificed to help relieve these precious people are indeed, Like Joseph, of old, saving his family from the famine that had gripped the world of his day.

READ THE NOTE BELOW – IT’S FOR YOU, NOT ME. AND REMEMBER …

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. -Proverbs 19:17

Dearest pastor Jack,

Real words from my heart. I always remember you in my prayers giving thanks to the Lord because of you. Your heart that is full of the love of Christ that appears clearly to us that we smell the fragrance of Jesus in you, like Joseph to the people of God in Egypt ages ago.

You are that Joseph to my people in Egypt in these so difficult days. We praise the Lord and give Him glory that He gave you such a heart. We pray for you, for your family, for your ministry, for your nation, for all those who support you.

Thank you..may the lord bless you and reward you – Ps Rezk, Upper Egypt

I REPEAT, THESE WORDS ARE FOR ALL OF YOU! THANK YOU FOR BEING LIKE JOSEPH TO OUR PEOPLE IN EGYPT.

Gratefully Yours,

Jack Harris, PCGlobal Network (Jack Harris Ministries)

A Crisis Among Our Christians

We have an extreme hardship currently affecting our works in Northern Iraq and Upper Egypt.

It concerns our Christian Family, our fellow believers; the people we minister to, and labor together with, in the Middle East.

We’ve all felt the effects of the world-wide pandemic lockdown; But for some it’s far worse than for others. Such is the case in Upper Egypt and Northern Iraq. Here there are no subsidies, to help out while folks are forced to stay at home; jobs are lost and businesses are closed.

In Northern Iraq, our families have gone without an income for over four months. This is also true for the majority of our people in Upper Egypt.

We can’t help everybody, we’d like too, but we simply don’t have the resources. But we can relieve the 527 families we’re working with; that’s over 2108 people!

WE NEED TO RAISE $36,890

We want to supply these families with,

• Food packages and essential household goods

• Prescription Medicine Assistance

• School Supplies for the Kids

WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU!.

I feel it’s imperative that we show solidarity with our people overseas in these times. It’s more important than you may think.

Despite these difficult-times, we still live in one of the most Blessed economies on earth. My personal conviction is that we’re blessed as a nation because we’ve been a giving nation.

“Blessed is the Nation, whose God is The Lord.”

Psalms 33:12
