AN URGENT REQUEST FROM IRAQ

Dear Bro. Jack,
Yesterday was Sunday, the hall was filled with some people having to stand. The situation is very important. The people who came yesterday shared with me this, they said, We are very angry with the Traditional church and they were sorry because they didn’t come to the Evangelical churches because they were confused. But when they heard my sermon, The Holy Spirit touched them and they said, We will bring our family with us. They told me, “We are waiting one like you to tell us this, where were you?” This is the first time to hear such words.
Brother Jack, We need the building very fast. We need the building to hold this number of people. Please tell everybody about that. We need the building very soon. As you saw in the dream, A miracle has happened.

A WORD OF EXPLANATION
The dream Layth is referring to is something I shared with him a few months back that I saw in a dream about a large number of people coming to our church in Duhok from the traditional churches of the area. There is a real hunger for the Gospel right now among the IDPs in Kurdish Iraq. IDPs (internally displaced persons) differ from Refugees in that they are refugees in their own country who’ve been driven from their homes. There are now over a MILLION IDPs and Refugees in Kurdistan. This is one of those rare moments in history where a door of opportunity has opened within a severe time of crisis. Layth shared with me that people are filling the traditional Assyrian and Chaldean Churches looking for answers which they’re not getting. These do not preach the gospel and in fact are very hostile toward those who do. Let me say, We’re not anti-Traditional, they’re anti-Evangelical/Pentecostal. Pastor Layth is urgently trying to finish our building. in Iraq, visibility is very important.
We are making plans this spring to do a public Healing/Salvation Rally outdoors on our property.
We need to finish the first floor of our church as quickly as possible. We’re confident that if we do, we’ll fill it. We’re $80,000 short of having enough to finish.
