AL MINYA, UPPER EGYPT
I am the LORD, I change not, therefore you sons of Jacob are not consumed. -Malachi 3:6

A lot can happen to a family in just a month.
This story begins with the birth of a beautiful new baby boy. On 9/14/22 Little Joshua was born to Pastors Habib & Heyam. Habib’s delight was evident as he shared the good news with me by text message. He also sent me a picture of their new little bundle of joy, cute as a button and the picture of health.

By Sept. 25th, I’d received another message asking me to pray for Heyam, she’d been taken to the hospital after several days of heavy bleeding due to complications after the birth. An infection had also set in. She was in serious trouble. At the same time, baby Joshua developed an infection in his breast.
When we first met and started working together in Al Minya, it was just he and his little daughter. He’d lost his first wife the year before to sickness. Not long after, he met Heyam, a wonderful young woman who’d not only become his wife but a much needed mother for his little girl. She and Heyam immediately bonded, it was as if they were made for each other, a match made in Heaven for all concerned.
Soon they had their first child together, a baby girl, then a baby boy and now little Joshua. The blessing and happiness of this family blossomed like a well-tended garden. But suddenly … this last month, everything just seemed to go wrong.

Personally, I believe all this to be an assault from hell against they and their ministry, against the impact their lives have been making in Egypt and the Middle East.
Call upon me in the day of trouble, says, the LORD, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things …
We did, and answer us, HE did! Praise God!

Heyam has recovered and is back home with her family and the swelling in Joshua’s breast has been healed! For us who lived this drama and have seen our prayers answered, it has truly been a Month of Miracles.
