From Out Of Egypt!

Why is Egypt so important?

  • It’s the heart of the Arab world.
  • It was the birthplace of pan-Arabism under Gamal Nasser,
  • It was the linchpin of Middle East peace under Anwar Sadat.
  • 80 million people – as many as Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Syria combined.
  • It has a large and vigorous civil society, feisty, independent media, a broad array of political forces, and a well-respected judiciary.

If Egypt can make the transition to democracy, it will lead the way to a new era for the Arab world. If Cairo falls back to dictatorship of one variety or another, it is unlikely the rest of the region will move on without it.

“The Arab Spring will live or die in Egypt.”

Michele Dunne and Robert Kagan – Brookings – March 7, 2011

These observations published back in 2011 have proven to be spot on accurate and just as relevant in 2019 as they were back then.

As Believers, we can be kind of lopsided in our understanding of Egypt’s spiritual importance in the Bible as well as her prophetic destiny.

“SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL”

For most in the West, Egypt has become our catch all metaphor for worldliness, bondage to sin and resistance to GOD.

So much so that we can be blinded to what the Bible actually says about the nations place in the strategic purpose of GOD.

Egypt provided safe haven for the Christ Child

Behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. So he took the child and his mother and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

“Out of Egypt have I called my son.”

Mt.2:13-15

Then there’s the Isaiah 19 prophecy; which speaks of the Egyptians as GOD’S people and foresees a future alliance between Egypt, Assyria (Iraq) and Israel – a blessing in the land.

It’s very obvious that Egypt is not only important in the balance of today’s Middle Eastern political process but it also plays a vital role in the spiritual realm as well.

We’ve been given a powerful open door of opportunity into the nation as well as the right personnel on the ground to work with. Brother Abo. Joshua is a tireless Egyptian Evangelist who has through his labors opened the outstanding doors of opportunity we now enjoy. To give just a brief idea of the range of impact we’re talking about this is what was accomplished through A.J. ministry just this last year.

  • Ministry in 42 different churches
  • 4 Different Conferences For pastors and leaders
  • Egyptian Women’s Revival with Pam Howard with over 1500 women attending with several hundred saved and many healed.
  • 4 Separate One Day Seminars for Pastors and Wives (120 in attendance).
  • Winter Blanket Outreach to Villages of Upper Egypt
  • School Supplies for 500 village kids

Thousands heard the Gospel and were touched this last year with hundreds saved and miraculously healed.

THIS IS MORE THAN BUSINESS AS USUAL – THIS IS REVIVAL IN EGYPT!
